Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy
PEMF uses low-frequency, pulsed electromagnetic fields to gently stimulate tissues. Sessions are noninvasive and done fully clothed. At Innergy Integrative Medicine, we offer PEMF as a wellness modality to support comfort, recovery, and relaxation—often alongside other treatments your clinician recommends.
How it may help
People commonly seek PEMF for:
Muscle and joint comfort and post-activity recovery
Relaxation and sleep support
General wellness and resilience as part of a broader care plan
Evidence and responses vary from person to person. PEMF is not a cure-all and should complement—not replace—appropriate medical care.
What a session is like
Quick & comfortable: You’ll sit or lie down while a padded applicator delivers pulsed magnetic fields to the target area.
Sensation: Many feel gentle tapping, pulsing, or warmth. Intensity is adjustable to your comfort.
Timing: Most sessions last 10–30 minutes; frequency is tailored to your goals.
Aftercare: Hydration and light movement are often recommended.
Safety first
PEMF is generally well tolerated, but it isn’t right for everyone. Please do not use PEMF if you have:
An implanted electronic device (e.g., pacemaker/defibrillator, cochlear implant, insulin pump)
Pregnancy
Active bleeding, recent blood clots (DVT/PE), or a bleeding disorder
Uncontrolled seizures
Tell your clinician about metal implants, recent surgeries, active cancer treatment, or any new symptoms. We’ll help you decide if PEMF is appropriate and how to time it with other therapies.
